About Me

Robert Sauer is the Director of Operations for SG Property Services LLC (“SGPS”), joining the organization in June 2025. Robert’s responsibilities include management of capital and tenant construction projects, maintenance department oversight and property condition assessments for all property acquisitions.

Robert is an accomplished senior manager with more than 40 years of experience leading large-scale operations initiatives across national real estate portfolios. Recognized for transforming under performing departments, driving operational excellence, and building high-performing teams, he brings a proven track record of delivering measurable financial impact, operational innovation, and long-term value creation.

Most recently, Robert served as Vice President of Maintenance and Construction at Welltower Inc., where he oversaw operations, project management, tenant improvements, and capital programs across a national portfolio of 425 assets and 24 million square feet.

Earlier in his career, Robert spent over 25 years with Duke Realty Corporation, rising to senior leadership roles overseeing large multistate portfolios of industrial, office, and medical office assets. He also held consulting roles supporting commercial real estate, facilities services, and property management operations.

With deep experience spanning operations, construction, engineering, and asset life cycle management, Robert brings strategic insight, operational discipline, and a collaborative leadership style that enables SGPS achieve stronger performance, improved efficiency, and long-term growth.
